Windows for the undesirable

For Latin Americans, Europe is sold as a land of opportunity. There is everything in quantity and quality: food, employment, security, love, money ... Far from being an invitation, this scenario shows what is distant, inaccessible, almost impossible. For the Latin American migrant, the polished aridity of Europe closes the windows of opportunity with cement, as is usually done with the windows of abandoned buildings. The artist constructs this metaphor with the photographic record of her pilgrimages through Portugal.
